About the role
Our multi‑award winning organisation is looking for a Care and Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service. The role is on a rota basis and may include evening and weekend shifts. This is a pivotal position to help ensure our residents live a meaningful life and feel involved within their community.
Shift patterns- Week 1 – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Week 2 – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Week 3 – 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Assist residents with personal care, preparing meals and domestic tasks;
- Implement and monitor care & support plans to meet individual needs of a diverse group of residents;
- Contribute to building community spirit through participation, encouragement and facilitation of social events;
- Serve as a partner to the social care team to ensure the delivery of high quality care services;
- Act as bank staff providing relief cover for absences on a casual basis;
- Work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care (Desirable, not essential);
- Previous experience within a care or health setting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships;
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and evenings;
- There is a genuine occupational reason under the Sex Discrimination Act 1974 the person for this role must be female.
