Job Summary

Are you ready to make a real difference in women's health? Join our dynamic Gynaecology Department as a Sonographer, where your expertise in ultrasound will directly impact patient care, diagnosis, and treatment pathways.

• Undertake ultrasound scanning duties principally in Women's Health which comprises Early Pregnancy, Emergency Gynaecology, Acute Gynaecology & General Gynaecology Clinics, including the Termination of Pregnancy Service.
• Will supervise and support students and junior staff.
• Be an integral part of the department working closely with the Consultants and Clinical nurse specialists.
• Be involved in monthly audits and meetings.

• Skills & Abilities Leadership experience, risk management in ultrasound, direct reporting, competence in obstetric, gynaecological and general ultrasound.
• Experience General ultrasound scanning, obstetrics and gynaecology scanning, organisation of workloads.
• Knowledge In-depth knowledge of gynaecological ultrasound pathologies, ergonomic working to reduce injury, computer literate.
• Education & Qualification DMU, M' Level Pg Dip Ultrasound / Pg Cert Ultrasound, State Registration (HPC / NMC).
