We currently have a Secondment available due to maternity leave in our Older Havering Mental Health Team based in Gubbins Lane Harold Wood. We have invested in mental health worker posts, peer support workers posts and support time recovery workers to support the integrated team to work as one around the patient, their families and their social networks. Our vision is for this new investment to help start a new era in our mental healthcare provision at NELFT, making us among the most holistic, relational and person-centred services in the country.
Mainduties of the job
This role encompasses supporting staff through clinical expertise and leadership to manage the Older Adult mental health team. It includes managing a duty rota, supporting staff and complex patients. The role includes attending and chairing MDTs, referrals and allocations meetings. There will be opportunities to supervise staff formally and informally. It will include management and support of the team s KPI s and supporting the manager as needed.

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and equipment allocation. New starters will have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).

Essential
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
- Qualification in nursing or Occupational Therapy
- Current professional Registration
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
Experience
- Minimum 4 years post qualification experience within a mental health setting
- Experience of working within community recovery or brief intervention services who treat and care for individuals in line with the Care Programme Approach and Care Act 2014
- Extensive experience of undertaking complex mental state assessment, risk and needs assessment with service users with severe and enduring mental illness
- Experience of providing managerial and clinical supervision to junior colleagues
Essential: completed training for students; taken students and supported placements
