Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team in this renowned department. As a valued member, you will actively participate in conducting a diverse array of physiological tests under supervision. These tests span from full lung function tests with body plethysmography, to cardiopulmonary exercise tests, provocations, hypoxic inhalation tests, and more. You will also support research endeavours within our Clinical Research Unit by performing physiological measurements for various research projects.
Responsibilities- Conduct physiological tests under appropriate supervision.
- Ensure accurate and informative results from patients and other test subjects, and create comprehensive test reports.
- Implement all necessary quality control procedures within the department, including personal biological control procedures.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities Patient/Client Care- Perform physiological tests under supervision.
- Participate in research projects and extended hours lung function rota.
- Maintain quality control procedures and assist with equipment maintenance.
- Assist with respiratory tests on hospital wards.
- Ensure cleanliness of departmental areas and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control policies.
- Conduct routine and specialized tests including lung volume measurements, bronchodilator tests, gas transfer measurements, and more.
- Implement trust policies and protocols within the department.
- Assist in service development through audits and research trials.
- Engage in the trust appraisal process and pursue continuous professional development.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other members of the trust.
- Supervise patients during tests and discuss results with discretion and patient confidentiality.
- Safely use complex equipment and report faults.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure routine maintenance.
- Ensure proper storage of patient data.
- Attend mandatory training courses and adhere to Trust policies.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the departmental Lead Physiologist.
- Adhere to Trust's Core behaviors and policies.
- Undertake any other duties as requested.
