Part time receptionist required for a GP practice in North Kensington, W10 for 22 hours per week.
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner is essential. Ability to work with other members of the team and computer literacy is critical. Previous general practice experience is preferred although we are willing to consider the right candidate outside of this scope.
Main duties of the job
** Systm One Practice**
To be the focal point of the surgery and to act as a liaison between patients, clinicians and other members of your practice team. Ensuring that the scanning of patients correspondence is kept up to date at all times. You are expected to be courteous to patients, particularly people with disabilities, elderly and people from the ethnic minority groups.
You must have experience working as a medical receptionist and preferably with Systm
One software or similar.
Youwill Join a well-established professional team of General Practitioners,Practice Nurse, FY2s, Pharmacist, HCAs and Administration/Reception staff.
Weare an extremely friendly and flexible practice, with a current patient population of 5000 patients. We are part of Westhill PCN and we have been rated
Good by CQC.

Job responsibilities- Answer the telephone dealing with or redirecting enquiries.
- Booking newand follow up appointments.
- Takemessages for the doctors, nurse and other clinicians.
- Requesting repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Register new patients following practice policy.
- Open mailand distribute as appropriate. Leave private, confidential and personalmail unopened.
- File medical records and scan hospital reports and letters.
- Offer all services to patients including Community Pharmacy Consultation Service(CPCS), extended hours hub and walk in centres as appropriate.
- Complete tasks sent by the doctors, nurses and other clinicians.
- Sending offpatients records to the PCSE
- Markingpatient records as arrived on systmone
- Each eveningleave the reception area tidy and ready for incoming colleagues. Leaveinformation regarding unsolved or urgent problems in the message book.
- Opening andlocking up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols.

Any breach of this confidentiality will be taken as a reason for instantdismissal.
- Previous medical reception/admin experience.
