Position: Band 7 Children and Young People’s Physiotherapist | Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust

Overview

Children and Young People’s Physiotherapist
- Band 7 Acute inpatients and Outpatients

Up to 37.5 hours per week - full time/part time/job share considered.

The Therapy Services team at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 paediatric physiotherapist to join the team based at Barnet Hospital. Candidates should have significant experience in managing a wide variety of acute paediatric complaints and conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities
  • Cover the general paediatric ward; be responsible for an outpatient caseload; may be needed for an acute patient in fracture clinic or ED.
  • Assess patients’ therapy needs and devise, implement and evaluate treatment plans.
  • Work autonomously with an enthusiastic and compassionate approach; liaise effectively with patients, parents/carers, and colleagues within the MDT and wider community health services.
  • Enjoy peer group support from the paediatric outpatient physiotherapy team and dieticians in paediatrics; utilise available support from peers in adult specialities for clinical reasoning and problem solving.
  • Access CPD and ongoing postgraduate education opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Significant experience in managing a wide variety of acute paediatric complaints and conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Confident physiotherapist with the ability to work autonomously and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with patients, parents/carers, the MDT, and wider community health services.

  • Clinical Lead is a highly specialised paediatric physiotherapist who provides support in the post.
