Salary: £12.25 - £13.25 per hour depending on experience
Perm contract - 32 hours per week
Shifts:
Monday to Sunday, 8am to 6pm or 10am to 6pm or 7am to 3pm
We are looking for a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join the team and help deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents. We support those when they need it the most. Our care homes are dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence and honouring choice to help our residents live their best lives.
Responsibilities- Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
- Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
- Monitoring stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines
- Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel will understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. You will work with the wider kitchen and care home teams and communicate effectively with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents.
