Main duties of the job

Buxton is a 33-bed ward caring for children from all medical and surgical specialties as well as on our HDU unit. You will carry out observations for babies and older children, support feeding, washing and dressing patients, and provide support to families around the child. We offer training to extend knowledge and skills in patient care, and opportunities to become a link for areas of particular interest to gain experience and disseminate learning to colleagues.

Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital includes the Children’s ED, Children’s Assessment Unit, Children’s Day Ward, NICU, and Outpatients. Successful candidates may experience work across these areas during induction and probation and may redeploy as needed to meet clinical requirements. This role provides the opportunity to develop skills in caring for children and delivering high‑quality family-centered care.

If you share a passion for providing the best possible care to children and families, and want to work in a collaborative team, we would like to hear from you.
