The Role
We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead the pre-registration and opening of a new children’s residential home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, with strong provider support, a £250 per month retainer during pre-registration, and fully funded relevant training.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the Ofsted registration (SC1) process from start to approval

* Develop policies, procedures, and Statement of Purpose

* Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

* Prepare the home for registration, inspection, and opening

* Recruit, induct, and manage the residential care team

* Provide strong leadership and day-to-day operational oversight

* Deliver high-quality, child-centred care for young people with EBD

* Maintain safeguarding, behaviour management, and risk frameworks

* Liaise with Ofsted, professionals, and external agencies

* Drive continuous improvement and inspection readiness
Requirements
Essential

* Experience in children’s residential care (EBD)

* Previous Registered Manager experience OR Deputy Manager ready to step up

* Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspections

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)

* Confident managing services through pre-registration to opening
Desirable

* CQC experience

* Experience opening or registering a new home

* Trauma-informed or therapeutic care background
