The ENT Department at the West Middlesex Hospital provides inpatient day surgery and outpatient services for the surrounding area. It serves the patients of Richmond, Twickenham, Brentford, Hounslow, Chiswick and adjacent areas.
The ENT Department is a very busy and rapidly growing department. A large and fully comprehensive range of services are provided by the team attracting increasing referrals annually. The Department has worked to gain strong support from the Community and General Practitioners in the area. There is a very good and friendly working relationship with other specialities in the hospital with many interesting referrals originating from a number of medical and surgical specialities.
Over 90% of the surgery performed in the ENT Department is on a day surgical basis. This involves adult and paediatric care. The Inpatients are nursed on one of two wards and the average length of stay for the inpatients is approximately one night. The Department treats ENT surgical paediatric cases from the age of two and upwards.
