Job Overview

We are recruiting an enthusiastic Medicines Management Pharmacy Assistant to support excellent hospital pharmacy services at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role will support clinical services to patients on the wards and within the Macmillan Cancer Centre, providing dispensing services and assisting with the supply of medicines to facilitate a streamlined workflow.

• Dispense medicines accurately and timely for inpatients and outpatients as directed by MMPTs using the pharmacy computer system and automated dispensing devices.
• Participate in the ward top‑up service.
• Order stock and non‑stock items for named patients.
• Ensure patients have sufficient supply of medications during their inpatient stay.
• Support and participate in monthly audits to maintain standards at the ward level.
• Provide a safe, efficient and timely pharmaceutical distribution service to all customers.
• Manage stock control efficiently using the pharmacy computer system.
• Communicate effectively with a variety of support staff and customers, e.g., purchasing dispensaries and ward staff.

Previous experience working in either a hospital or community pharmacy and a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
