We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker in the Adults Learning Disabilities Team within Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team that is growing their social worker staffing levels. Theresponsibilities of the Social Worker includes:
- Strong assessment and care planning skills using a strengths-based, person-centred approach
- Sound working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and its application in adults learning disabilities practice
- Ability to undertake Mental Capacity Act assessments and contribute to best interest decision-making
- Experience of safeguarding adults at risk and managing risk effectively
- Confidence working with individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and dual diagnoses
- Ability to work collaboratively with health professionals, providers, families, and advocates
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication methods to meet individual needs
- Competence in managing a varied caseload and prioritising work in a busy statutory environment
- Accurate, timely, and legally compliant case recording skills
- Commitment to equality, diversity, co‑production, and anti‑discriminatory practice
- Social Work England registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
