We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic occupational therapist with developed rehabilitation knowledge and skills to join our orthopaedic team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The post involves occupational therapy caseload management for both acute trauma and elective orthopaedic rehabilitation and supports the weekend service over 2 to 3 days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) depending on experience. You will lead service development and be encouraged to develop through the four pillars of practice while participating in CPD and audit.
Responsibilities- Manage occupational therapy caseload for acute trauma and elective orthopaedic rehabilitation.
- Work in a multidisciplinary and multi‑agency setting to ensure seamless transfer of patients to rehabilitation units and discharge into the community.
- Support the weekend service and participate in service development.
- Engage in continuous professional development and audit activities.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration with the HCPC.
- Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses and CPD.
- Membership of the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Adults).

As of 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. The hourly rate will be adjusted so that pay is unaffected.
