Employment type:
Permanent, Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday; 3 long days as part of a rolling roster). Additional weekend shifts available on an overtime basis.
Salary: up to £57,751 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications).
About the DepartmentThe Radiology department at Cromwell Hospital is newly established with the latest technology, offering a professional working environment and opportunities for development.
Key equipment includes:
- One fluoroscopy suite (also usable as an additional X‑Ray room)
- One Cone Beam CT scanner
- One Bone Density scanner with advanced body composition analysis
- Four theatre image intensifiers
- Deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer as appropriate.
- Work flexible hours when required to accommodate changing MRI workload patterns.
- Provide high‑quality examinations as required by referring physicians in line with departmental policies and procedures, ensuring a high standard of patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and report all incidents.
- Develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage and supervise staff training in the respective scanner.
- Ensure compliance with Local Rules on radiation protection (IRMER 2017), the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999, and MHRA Safety Guidelines.
- BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
- Substantial MRI experience (essential)
- Competence with Philips and/or Siemens MRI systems (desired)
- Demonstrable experience in contrast MRI (essential)
- Experience with cannulation
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve results
