Senior Researcher – The Health Policy Partnership
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving international consultancy specialising in health policy.
The Health Policy Partnership (HPP) was founded in 2014 and has become one of the most recognised and respected health policy consultancies in Europe, with increasing international exposure.
Our portfolio covers a wide range of topics, often focusing on chronic diseases and strategic health system challenges. Projects tend to be multidisciplinary and involve collaborating with leading clinicians, patient groups, policymakers and research organisations at national, European and international levels.
We are looking for a Senior Researcher with health policy expertise, preferably with experience in a consultancy environment and a proven track record of excellence in supporting or managing programmes of work.
You should have a Master’s, or equivalent, in health policy, public health or a related field, along with extensive experience in conducting and managing research projects and writing in health for public and policy audiences. Experience of different health systems and linguistic abilities are beneficial, though not mandatory.
Responsibilities- Ensure projects are delivered within budget, timelines and meet client/funder expectations (preferably in a consultancy environment).
- Think and operate from a team perspective, supporting or planning for operational challenges across all project aspects.
- Build relationships with leading stakeholders (e.g. patient groups, professional societies, thought leaders) and communicate confidently with a diverse group of people.
- Develop and deliver research methodologies, conduct qualitative interviews, synthesize large quantities of information, and translate findings into credible, impactful written work that communicates a case for change to policymakers and decision‑makers.
- Place findings into local contexts while being mindful of cultural nuances across international projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to co‑create final outputs and engage stakeholders.
- Extensive project management and policy research experience in a consultancy setting.
- Excellent research, analytical and writing skills with a proven track record of publishing high‑quality policy briefs.
- Experience guiding colleagues and working on multidisciplinary partnerships at European and/or global levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, resilience and a proactive mindset in a dynamic team.
- Knowledge of client management and proposal writing, and adherence to internal processes and editorial standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); proficiency in End Note and Smartsheet is a plus.
- Language skills preferred; experience with chronic diseases, oncology and health system challenges.
