You will primarily live in university halls for one week on and one week off providing support to our client on a live in basis. You will need to support with all moving and handling and personal care tasks. Outside of these times, you will divide the duties between yourself and the other carer. At night you will sleep however be on call for emergencies and support the waking night person when required.
The client's routine differs from day to day due to university lectures and social events he chooses to attend, you need to be flexible in your approach. There will be plenty of time for you to have a break throughout the day between your duties.

We are looking for a Live In Care Support Assistant to come and join our team to support a client with Spinal Muscular Atrophy based in London, SW19 and SW7 postcode areas.
Full training will be given to set you on your path to being a Live InCare Support Assistant
, where you will be paid a competitive rate of pay of £163.71 per day (£1146.00 per week of work) after completion of training.
This job involves Live In Care, where you will work one week on and one week off with emergency sickness cover required. You will also receive 14 hours break during your week on.
As a Live In Care Support Assistant you will be working day shifts and sleeping night shifts and will be supporting our client with his complex needs on a 2:1 basis. Our client attends University and you will be required to support him at his university halls of residence in the SW7 postcode area as well as at his family residence in the SW19 postcode area.

Your responsibilities as our Live In Care Support Assistant will include: Meeting our client's complex care needs such as moving and handling, personal care, secretion and saturation management, use of ventilation and administering medication as well as accessing the community and maintaining the home environment.
Skills and Experience required of our Live In Care Support Assistant:
You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others. Possessing a UK full driving license and having some previous experience would be advantageous.
