JustOT are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Social Care team in Surrey.

Essential Requirements: HCPC registered, A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience (paediatrics essential)
As a Band 6 paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will work in a range of settings as an autonomous practitioner, providing high-quality paediatric occupational therapy to support children and young people with disabilities to achieve their potential. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people's occupational therapy needs and provide specialist advice to other disciplines.
You will carry a specialist caseload of children and young people with a variety of complex physical, learning, and social needs and be responsible for writing reports for EHCP and MDT assessments/reviews. As part of the role, you will contribute to the supervision of students on clinical placement and support workers who are working with children and young people on your caseload.
and Experience
- Experience of clinical assessment and intervention as an Occupational Therapist.
- Passionate about and/or have experience in working as an OT in paediatrics.
- Working knowledge of child development, neuro-development, and childhood occupations.
- Able to plan and prioritise workload, demonstrate initiative through being consistently solution-focused.
- Skilled in assessment planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, complying with professional and service standards and working as an autonomous practitioner.
- Able to prepare clearly written reports for use by multiple agencies.
- Knowledge, training, and experience of using a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches, including non-standardised and standardised assessments.
- Knowledge/experience of physical and developmental disabilities and their impact on occupational performance.
- Experience and participate in clinical audits/research.
- Able to communicate sensitive, condition-related information to clients using empathy and reassurance and able to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
- Able to provide and implement OT programmes within a specialist field and work collaboratively to upskill school staff and caregivers through training, sharing advice, and strategies to support the child/young person.
- Supervision of students and/or support/junior staff.
