Noise Officer

A Local Authority in South West London is seeking a Noise Technician to join their Environmental Health team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work within the Noise and Complaints team, investigating noise complaints and reporting findings to senior officers to support decisions on potential enforcement action. The role will also involve responding to related environmental complaints such as bonfires and accumulations of rubbish.

The position operates on a 7-week shift pattern, including both daytime and out-of-hours shifts from Thursday to Sunday, averaging 35 hours per week. Out-of-hours work will be carried out alongside a second officer. A full UK driving licence is required, as the role involves driving a council vehicle (a personal vehicle is not required).

This is an excellent contract opportunity for candidates already working within enforcement or environmental health who are looking to broaden their experience. The pay rate is currently £35 per hour, with potential flexibility depending on experience.
