Financial Accountant

Overview

Job role: Financial Accountant.
Contract: temporary for 6 months.
Pay: £30.22 per hour plus holiday pay.
Hours: 36 hours per week.
Location: Central London.
Hybrid: 3 days per week on-site.

An established charity in the cultural sector is seeking a Financial Accountant for a 6-month interim role
. You'll join a supportive finance team and play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory reporting and technical accounting during a period of organisational change.

You will focus on core financial accounting responsibilities, including consolidated accounts, fixed asset management, IFRS 16 implementation, tax compliance and supporting the year-end process. You will also provide technical guidance to colleagues and ensure strong governance and reporting standards.

• Deliver high-quality statutory reporting and technical accounting during the interim period.
• Support year-end processes and governance of financial reporting standards.

• ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience gained within a complex, multi-faceted organisation

• Significant experience preparing consolidated statutory accounts in line with Charity SORP
  .
• Strong experience managing large fixed-asset portfolios
  , including multi-million-pound land and property valuations
  .
• Proven experience implementing IFRS 16
  .
• Strong understanding of VAT, Corporation Tax and other charity-related tax matters
  .
