Commercial Finance Manager; App

Referment is working exclusively with Kilnbridge, a highly respected construction and engineering business, to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager at a pivotal stage of their growth.

This is a high-impact role reporting directly into the CFO, acting as the critical bridge between Finance, Commercial and Operations, translating financial insight into better decision-making across the business.

This is not a back-office reporting role. It's a commercially focused position with genuine visibility, influence, and a clear pathway toward a future Financial Controller role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial finance professional, or an ambitious Senior Management Accountant ready for their next step.

You’ll work closely with the MD, divisional leaders and delivery teams, providing real-time insight into:

• Management accounts, forecasting and budgeting
• KPIs, cash flow and profitability
• Commercial performance across projects and operations
• Financial storytelling - helping non-finance stakeholders truly understand the numbers

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), ideally 5+ years PQE.
• A stable career history is essential, with a clear track record of commitment and longevity in your previous permanent roles.
• Proven experience in a commercially-focused role, encompassing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
• Strong technical skills with Excel and Power BI are required.
• Experience in construction, engineering, project, plant hire, or other capital-intensive, project-based industries (e.g., oil & gas, infrastructure, mining) is highly advantageous.
• Experience working within large, complex, multi-entity businesses is highly valued.
• Commercially minded - able to challenge, influence and drive outcomes.
• Collaborative, emotionally intelligent and ambitious.

This role is office-based 5 days per week.
