The BNY Summer Internship Program is a 10‑week experience for high‑potential students. Interns work on challenging projects, collaborate in teams, and gain insight into what it is like to work for a global financial services organization. From day one interns are immersed in a culture of innovation and dynamic collaboration, receiving:
- Enterprise‑led orientation, an executive speaker series, and a virtual training curriculum.
- Meaningful, challenging work assignments with mentorship and training.
- Career development and networking support from corporate leaders, internship managers, senior and peer mentors, business stakeholders, and a dedicated program manager.
- Exposure to different areas of the business.
- Comprehensive professional etiquette and financial services fundamentals training, along with technical and business acumen development.

- A collaborative and supportive community with full commitment from top‑level management.
Internal Audit plays a key role in helping the organization succeed. Interns receive targeted on‑the‑job training and collaborate with experienced audit professionals. Typical projects include:
- Process mapping and flowcharting.
- Process gap identification through analysis.
- Testing bank controls for effectiveness.
- Discovering and translating data anomalies into insights.
- Enrollment in a 3‑year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business‑related and/or technology‑related majors (preferred).
- Graduating between Dec 2026 and July 2027.
- Minimum 2:2 degree classification.
- No sponsorship required for employment visa status in the country where applying.
