RoleWe have an interesting new opportunity for an Underwriting Facilities Analyst to come on board to provide binding authority assistance between our underwriting teams and third-party partners.
Description- Managing delegated authority processes
- Facility aggregate entering and reporting
- Responsible for monitoring and entering facility aggregates
- Ensuring that delegated business complies with regulations and meets underwriting guidelines
Able to input data and maintain records with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Relationship ManagementAble to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with brokers, underwriters and other staff.
AnalyticalAble to analyse and interpret financial information.
Compliance & Risk ManagementAble to operate at all times to the standards and rules of the regulatory bodies and those set out in the firm’s standards documents
Management Information (MI) ReportingProduce regular, accurate, and actionable reports to allow senior underwriters to assess portfolio performance.
Personal DevelopmentAble to ensure competence is attained and maintained. Keen to increase skills through training
Required Knowledge and Skills- An understanding of Lloyd’s and the insurance market, industry and platforms
- Awareness of Bordereaux and DA processes
- Understanding of exposure management principles
- Skilled with utilizing the sequel platform although not essential
- Good mathematical ability and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- IT skills (Word, Excel and other software packages used within the business)
