Legal Director​/Tax Insurance

We are leading the search in partnership with a Legal Director to join the corporate group to lead on advising insurers on tax Insurance matters. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most sophisticated and fastest-growing areas of the transactional risk market - the team advises a roster of leading insurers and MGAs on complex tax risks.

You will advise insurers and underwriters on the assessment, structuring and documentation of tax insurance policies across a broad spectrum of domestic and international transactions. The work is high-level, commercially focused and often involves novel or complex tax exposures requiring strategic judgement and technical depth.

You will work closely with transactional tax teams, private equity sponsors and underwriting teams, helping to shape risk appetite and policy language on high-value, time-sensitive deals.

We are keen to speak with either a senior tax lawyer with strong transactional tax experience with exposure to W&I or tax insurance or a Senior Tax Underwriter currently operating in the tax insurance market who is interested in transitioning into private practice with access to a partner track.

Prior tax insurance experience is welcomed but not essential for candidates coming from private practice. For those coming from underwriting, this is an opportunity to leverage market insight within a broader advisory platform.

This role is positioned at Legal Director level with a clear opportunity to build a partner case over time.
