Risk Manager

Responsibility for all aspects of risk management across assigned clients, challenging the risk management and controls within those clients

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Leading and mentoring more junior team members to develop their understanding of risk management and the group companies and clients
• Review and own reporting to both client and company governance forums
• Support the development and maintenance of allocated framework sections, in liaison with other team members and the Head of Risk
• Responsible for identifying, documenting and rating risks in relevant clients, including reviewing work undertaken by direct reports
• Experience of working in an underwriting or underwriting‑related area or a good understanding of underwriting risk and basic underwriting processes would be an advantage
• Strong understanding of the insurance market and risk, with a basic understanding of the activities of a Lloyd’s syndicate
• Strong understanding of Solvency II and other regulatory requirements; an understanding of how they impact on the business desirable.
