Position OverviewThe ECM Associate will support the origination and execution of equity and equity‑linked transactions across EMEA. This includes IPOs, follow‑ons, rights issues, block trades, and convertible or structured equity offerings. The role offers significant exposure to senior bankers, clients, and high‑profile transactions within a dynamic, fast‑paced capital markets team.
Key Responsibilities Deal Execution- Support the execution of ECM transactions including IPOs, rights issues, follow‑ons, block trades, and equity‑linked offerings.
- Coordinate transaction processes with internal teams (Investment Banking, Legal, Compliance, Sales & Trading) and external parties (issuers, lawyers, auditors).
- Prepare transaction documentation such as prospectuses, investor presentations, term sheets, and regulatory filings.
- Assist in managing roadshows, investor engagement, and deal logistics.
- Build and maintain financial models to support valuation, pricing, and structuring discussions.
- Conduct market research, peer analysis, and sector benchmarking to support client recommendations.
- Monitor equity markets, investor sentiment, and trading dynamics to assist with pricing strategy and market commentary.
- Prepare pitchbooks, client presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Support idea generation by tracking market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming capital‑raising opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic discussions around capital markets solutions for clients.
- Participate in client meetings, roadshows, and deal‑related events.
- Provide updates to clients on market conditions, transaction progress, and investor feedback.
- Support relationship development with corporate issuers and institutional investors.
- 3+ years of experience in ECM
- Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a quantitative discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling/analysis.
- Solid understanding of equity capital markets, equity‑linked products, and capital‑raising structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams under pressure.
- High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
