Location: Greater London

We are looking for a tax specialist to to take ownership of the tax agenda for a UK‑headquartered real estate investment and development group. This is a standalone role with responsibility for corporate tax compliance and advisory, alongside oversight of transactional tax and fund‑related tax matters. The position is well suited to a proactive, commercially minded tax professional who is comfortable operating autonomously and partnering closely with senior leadership.

Corporate

Tax
  • Lead all aspects of the UK corporate tax compliance process, including preparation, review, and timely filing of corporation tax returns.
  • Manage tax provisioning, deferred tax calculations, and statutory audit support.
  • Oversee the group’s corporate tax risk management framework, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements and Senior Accounting Officer obligations.
  • Monitor changes in UK tax legislation and assess their impact on the business; proactively advise the CFO and senior leadership.
Transaction & Structuring
  • Provide tax input on real estate acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
  • Advise on optimal tax structuring for new transactions and corporate initiatives in collaboration with external advisers.
  • Conduct tax due diligence and oversee integration processes from a tax perspective.
  • Partner with investment, legal, and finance teams to ensure tax risks and opportunities are properly evaluated in decision‑making.
Governance, Advisory & Stakeholder Support
  • Act as the primary internal tax expert for the group, providing clear, commercially grounded advice to the CFO and executive team.
  • Manage relationships with HMRC, external tax advisers, and audit partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement in internal tax processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Support cross‑functional projects including financing, cash management, and group restructuring.
