Property Accountant

We are working with a top-performing UK real estate investment manager and Industrial REIT that is entering an exciting new phase of growth. Following the launch of a new joint venture, the business is actively deploying capital and expanding its mandates across the UK industrial sector.

With a strong reputation, entrepreneurial culture and high-calibre leadership team, this is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing real estate platform at a pivotal stage in its development.

The Property Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting and operational functions across multiple mandates. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong bookkeeping discipline, attention to detail and the ability to work across a broad remit within a lean, high-performing team.

• Assisting with quarterly management reporting and cash flow forecasting
• Bookkeeping within Yardi (or similar system), including journals, cash postings, invoice processing and reconciliations
• Reviewing cash flow models and bank reporting spreadsheets prepared by the team
• Managing the accounts payable function and purchase invoice processing

Beyond core property accounting, there is genuine scope to broaden your exposure across the business, including:

• Maintaining statutory books and records across managed entities
• Managing share and unit registers for the REIT and associated funds, liaising with investors where required
• Preparing quarterly board minutes (supported by Otter AI)
• Companies House filings and Supporting AML checks on tenants, investors and transaction counter parties
• Assisting with quarterly compliance meetings and policy updates

Full training is available across compliance, statutory and ESG areas where required.

• Proven property accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Ideally, you’ll have worked in a Real Estate Investment or Property Management company.
• Strong numeracy and high attention to detail
• Confident Excel user
• Experience with Yardi would be advantageous but not essential
• Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to contribute across a growing platform
