About the Role

We are looking for a talented Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring advanced Excel modelling capabilities and a strong understanding of business valuation, acquisition appraisals, and debt financing. In this role, you will support strategic initiatives through detailed financial analysis, insightful recommendations, and effective modelling to guide investment decisions and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • -Develop and maintain complex financial models in Excel to support investment planning and decision-making processes
  • -Create detailed forecasts, valuations, and financial projections to assess the impact of various business strategies and investment opportunities
  • -Regularly review data centre portfolio performance and ongoing valuation position
Appraisal of Acquisitions:
  • -Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis for potential acquisition targets (M&A and real estate)
  • -Evaluate the financial viability of acquisition opportunities through detailed financial modelling and valuation techniques.
  • Support the preparation of comprehensive reports and investment presentations to support decision-making by senior management and shareholders
Debt Funding Analysis:
  • -Analyse and structure debt financing options to support business needs and growth strategies
  • -Evaluate the cost of capital, repayment schedules, and impact on financial health to recommend optimal debt solutions
  • -Monitor debt financing once in place and manage drawdown processes, ensuring covenant compliance and providing information and updates to lenders as required
  • -Review and evaluate sales opportunities through financial analysis and market research
  • -Develop models to forecast revenue potential and assess the structuring of new sales initiatives
Other Responsibilities:
  • -Prepare other ad-hoc financial analysis as required by the business and its stakeholders including analysis of capital investment
  • -Support and assist with regular management, shareholder and other stakeholder reporting
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACA) is desirable.
  • Extensive experience as an Investment Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within the digital infrastructure or infrastructure industries
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation tools. Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data, assess or challenge it where appropriate and translate it into actionable insights
  • Experience in financial modelling, business planning, acquisition analysis (M&A and/or real estate), and debt funding
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, fluency in English is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
