Senior Manager - Financial Modelling and Data Analytics (Financial Services)

Campion Pickworth is recruiting on behalf of a leading professional services firm for a Senior Manager to join their growing analytics team, working with top-tier banking and capital markets clients.

We are looking for an experienced professional with strong financial services expertise and hands‑on experience in analytics, modelling, and cash‑flow analysis.

About the role

This is a hands‑on role for someone who loves working with data, building models, solving real‑world financial services problems, and leading projects and people in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll sit at the intersection of analytics, audit, and regulatory change – helping shape how data and modelling are used across the audit lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deliver analytics and modelling projects across banking & capital markets clients
  • Build, review and test models; perform data quality assessments and deep‑dive analysis
  • Use tools like Python, SQL, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Power BI to generate insights and visualisations
  • Work closely with audit teams to embed analytics into audit approaches
  • Support regulatory-driven analytics solutions (e.g. evolving FS regulation, BCBS
    239)
  • Coach and develop junior team members
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and support business development
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in analytics/modelling within financial services (consulting, professional services, or large FS firm)
  • Strong hands‑on data skills (data cleaning, quality checks, analysis, visualisation, insight generation)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams in a fast‑paced environment with competing reporting deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior leadership.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a structured approach to delivering high-quality output, including code, documentation, and output reviews.
  • Advanced Excel + at least one of:
    Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau
  • Knowledge of financial asset classes (e.g. loans, mortgages, derivatives)
  • Strong communication skills and client‑facing confidence
  • A problem‑solver who enjoys building solutions, not just analysing problems
Nice to have
  • Professional qualifications (or working towards): CFA, FRM, CQF, ACA, CIMA
  • Knowledge of FS regulation and data governance frameworks (e.g. BCBS
    239)

This role offers a great opportunity for career progression, broad client exposure, and the chance to build new analytics capabilities within a dynamic and growth‑focused team.
