Finance Business Analyst – Finance Transformation

Location: London (Hybrid)

Industry: Specialty Insurance & Reinsurance

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Fixed term contract (6 - 12 months)

We are working with a leading specialty insurance and reinsurance company headquartered in London that is undergoing a major finance transformation. They are seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support the successful delivery of key transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling business cases to support transformation initiatives
• Write detailed business requirements documents
• Lead finance workshops and gather stakeholder input
• Perform data analysis to drive informed decision-making
• Design solution architectures and ensure effective data flows
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and operational teams
• Track and report on project progress

Skills & Tools

• Experience as a Business Analyst in finance transformation projects
• Strong skills in writing business cases and creating business requirements documents
• Tools: Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL
• Software: Phinsys, People Soft (advantageous)
• Other: Understanding of data governance and data quality tools

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in finance transformation projects
• Strong in writing business cases and defining business requirements
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and facilitating workshops
• Insurance industry experience—particularly Lloyd’s market—highly desirable
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
