Derivatives Coverage Lawyer

• Provide broad advisory coverage on structured and flow equity derivatives and structured equity margin loans
• Coverage of the Corporate Equity Derivatives desk within the Global Capital Markets division ("private side") and bespoke structured equity derivative transactions and flow equity derivatives within the Institutional Equity Division ("public side").
• Provide legal and regulatory advice to the Sales, Trading and Structuring teams with respect to the trade documentation and structuring issues. The role is primarily an advisory role.
• Advising different functions within the Firm, including Sales, Trading and Risk Management on legal and regulatory risks associated with equity derivative transactions, with particular attention to transactions with corporates
• Draft, negotiate, and review transaction documentation and instruct external counsel as needed
• Advise on EU/UK regulations, reputational issues, and compliance risks across multiple markets

• Qualified lawyer with demonstrated expertise post-qualification
• Strong background in structured and flow equity derivatives or structured equity margin loans
• Background in lending and derivatives
• Solid grounding in English security and contract law; adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
