Interim FP&A Director – Infrastructure | Private Equity Backed | London
Location: London (hybrid)

The opportunityA Private Equity–backed infrastructure business is seeking a high‑calibre Interim FP&A Director to lead group financial planning, board reporting, and strategic analysis during a critical growth and investment phase.
This role will take full ownership of group FP&A outputs, providing robust insight to senior leadership and investors while strengthening forecasting, capital allocation, and long‑term planning capability.
Key responsibilities- Own and deliver monthly group board packs to Private Equity stakeholders and senior leadership
- Lead OPEX and CAPEX budgeting across departments and operational sites
- Consolidate group budget, forecast, and actual performance with detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Drive data‑led decision making across the business through credible financial insight
- Develop and maintain long‑term cash flow forecasts and funding visibility
- Oversee accounting treatment and financial flows relating to capitalisation, SPV structures, and accruals
- Provide advanced financial modelling to support investment, strategy, and capital deployment decisions
- Partner with executive leadership to enhance reporting quality, controls, and planning processes
- Proven FP&A Director / Head of FP&A experience within infrastructure, capital‑intensive, or asset‑heavy environments
- Strong Private Equity reporting exposure
- Demonstrated ownership of board pack preparation for investors and senior stakeholders
- Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis capability
- Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across complex groups
- Strong understanding of SPV accounting, capitalisation, and project finance structures
- Fully ACA / ACCA qualified
- Background in Investment Banking, Transaction Services, or Big 4 Deals
, with transition into FP&A or commercial finance - Experience supporting capital allocation and investment decision frameworks
- Exposure to infrastructure project lifecycle and CAPEX‑heavy environments
