Schroders Greencoat LLP is a specialist renewable infrastructure investment manager with ca. £10 billion under management across a range of publicly listed and private market fund vehicles investing in renewable infrastructure assets in the UK, Europe and the U.S. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and is a full scope UK AIFM.

For over a decade, we have been at the vanguard of the renewable infrastructure sector, building on an extensive global network of the key players, including utilities and developers. Founded in 2009, Schroders Greencoat has grown into a team of over 130 staff globally. As at 31 December 2023, we manage and operate circa 350 renewable power generation assets, with an aggregate capacity of c.6.5GW.

Since April 2022, we are 75% owned by Schroders, with the balance being held by the senior Schroders Greencoat management team. We are an integral part of Schroders’ Private Assets division (known as Schroders Capital) that also includes private equity, real estate, infrastructure financing and private debt, but continues to maintain a high level of operating autonomy retaining its leadership team, investment independence and distinctive culture.

Schroders Capital has c.$94bn billion of assets under management in direct, primary, secondary, and co-investment capabilities, managed by more than 770 employees globally.

Renewable energy is set to be a multi-trillion dollar global asset class and is expected to grow by more than $100 billion a year over the next decade. Utilities, energy companies and infrastructure developers will deliver the majority of this transition, but the scale of capital involved will require significant external financing. There exists a very large and growing pool of capital which is keen to own and operate these assets but lacks the deep technical skills and sector expertise to manage the investments independently.

Our purpose is to bridge this gap – to be a conduit for this capital, and to provide the financial, technical and operational expertise to deliver secure incomes for our clients. Greencoat’s UK offices are located in 1 London Wall Place, London. London based staff work Mondays and Fridays from home with core office days running Tuesday to Thursday.

• Review of monthly finance reports for SPVs prepared by outsourced asset management and administration service providers
• Monitoring of budgets and preparation of analytical reports for the internal asset management function
• Preparation of the annual budgets for the SPVs
• Review and completion of SPV statutory accounts & management of audit process
• Review SPV VAT returns and ensure full compliance with UK VAT regulations and ensure timely submission
• Facilitate the relationships with SPV administrators and other service providers.
• Monitoring of SPV cash balances and review of payment instructions to ensure compliance with controls and governance policies
• Assisting in the process for corporation tax compliance for SPVs, including liaising with tax advisors
