Interim Financial Accountant – 6 month FTC Role Summary
Global Accounting Network are partnering with a global professional services firm who are seeking a newly qualified interim financial accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting support across multiple entities, contributing to the firm's financial management and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and reliable monthly management accounts for the UK group and Singapore entity, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and key reports are delivered in a timely manner.
- Compile annual trial balances and financial statements for the UK group and Singapore entity, ready for review and external audit.
- Assist with the provision of data to external statutory auditors in the UK and Singapore during their audits.
- Prepare and deliver various regular reports to internal stakeholders, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
- Perform monthly journal entries and process related to month-end routines, ensuring the integrity of the financial records.
- Calculate and bill shared overhead costs to fellow group entities, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Co‑authorise banking portal transactions, including office and client payments, in compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements, contributing to the enhancement of the control environment and the improvement of financial reporting capabilities.
- Qualified, newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
- Significant experience in similar accounting roles, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks
- Experience with lease accounting - IFRS 16.
- Proficient in the use of software, including ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality accounting processes and improved management reporting
- Effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and resourceful, with a mindset for continuous improvement
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Demonstrable understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
