What You’ll Do:- Process accounts payable transactions, manage supplier records, handle payment runs—including complex FX payments—and prepare detailed month‑end journals.
- Produce insightful management information reports for senior leaders, assist with audits, support cross‑departmental projects.
- Participate fully in all accounts payable processes related to investment entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Take responsibility for entering data into supplier sub‑ledgers and general ledgers, maintaining precision throughout all stages.
- Process weekly payment runs including foreign exchange transactions and individual CHAPS money transfers to suppliers, as well as preparing associated payment journals.
- Manage month‑end activities by processing journals for prepayments and accruals, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded and reconciled.
- Set up new suppliers and manage existing supplier records in accordance with procurement policies, safeguarding compliance at every step.
- Create and maintain general ledger accounts, linking them appropriately to budget approvers for effective financial oversight.
- Build partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders such as fund accounting teams and other finance colleagues.
- Produce monthly management information reports for senior management purposes, providing clear insights into expense trends and variances.
- Assist with both external and internal audit requests as well as ad hoc investigations, demonstrating transparency and accountability in all interactions.
- Support the wider Finance & Investment Accounting team with additional initiatives and business‑as‑usual requirements as needed.
- Demonstrate strong fundamentals in expense accounting including debits and credits, journal preparation, weekly payment runs, manual foreign exchange payments, and data entry processes.
- Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, and formulae for efficient data analysis.
- Communicate effectively with individuals at all organisational levels using clear and concise language tailored to each audience.
- Show precision in your work along with robust analytical abilities that allow you to identify discrepancies quickly and resolve them proactively.
