What you’ll do:

As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both UK‑based senior managers within the group tax function. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate compliance with corporate tax regulations while also providing valuable insights into international taxation matters. You will be responsible for preparing detailed reports, managing communications with HMRC, researching legislative updates, assisting in group‑wide reporting processes, and offering practical advice on employment taxes.

Your ability to coordinate complex tasks across different teams will be essential in maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency throughout all stages of the tax cycle.

  • Assist with all aspects of UK tax compliance processes including preparation of disclosures, submission of returns, and allocation of group relief across the UK group.
  • Respond to queries from colleagues outside the tax team as well as external auditors, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate and prepare R&D tax credit claims while supporting reviews related to controlled foreign companies (CFC) and other technical areas.
  • Manage correspondence with HMRC and communicate effectively with relevant authorities when required.
  • Research corporation tax updates and present findings to the wider tax team to ensure ongoing awareness of regulatory changes.
  • Partner with business units to provide advisory support on relevant tax considerations for new projects and initiatives.
  • Support the annual UK group reporting process by preparing calculations, reviewing overseas balances, and coordinating final files for finance teams and external auditors.
  • Assist with forecasting activities related to global effective tax rates and payments across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare key inputs for transfer pricing models and assist with documentation, methodology development, monitoring requirements such as CBCR and Pillar 2 reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR and external advisors on employment tax matters including short‑term business visitor submissions, IR35 advice, PAYE settlement agreements, and ad hoc queries.
What you bring:
  • Hold a recognised professional tax qualification such as CTA, ACA or ACCA.
  • Have at least three years’ experience working in a corporate tax‑related role within a large organisation or accountancy practice.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations along with familiarity in international treaties affecting cross‑border transactions.
  • Show advanced skills using tax software packages as well as Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Exhibit strong analytical abilities combined with attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all aspects of compliance work.
