Senior Financial Accountant

Overview

A Senior Financial Accountant role working for a listed real estate company for a 6 month contract. The position will contribute to both management and statutory reporting, including quarterly management accounts, preparation of subsidiary financial statements, and supporting the production of the Interim Results. You’ll be joining a collaborative team environment where flexibility, accuracy, and a proactive approach are essential.

• Lead the end-to-end preparation of the 2025 subsidiary financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with reporting requirements.
• Prepare various sections of the quarterly consolidated management accounts, which could include property expenditure, share-based payments, other income, prepayments and accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of the Interim Report, mainly involving preparing various disclosures, proofreading, ensuring consistency within the reports and liaising with the auditors.
• Provide assistance on day-to-day finance matters and transactional work as and when required by the Senior Financial Accountant or Head of Financial Reporting.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
• Well-developed organisational skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to take responsibility for tasks and complete them to a high standard.
• Strong technical skills and an interest in financial reporting.

• 3-4 years post-qualified from a recognised accounting qualification, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
