A well-established national advisory firm is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Restructuring Advisory team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in corporate insolvency, capable of managing assignments end-to-end, engaging with stakeholders, and mentoring junior colleagues.
Role OverviewYou will take ownership of a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including administrations, liquidations, CVLs, CVAs, and bankruptcies. The role involves leading case strategy, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, overseeing asset realisations, and contributing to business development and internal process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including trading and pre-pack administrations, CVLs, CVAs, and MVLs
- Lead case planning, strategy, and execution with minimal supervision
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing feedback and guidance
- Draft high-quality statutory documents, reports, and correspondence in line with insolvency legislation
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines, regulatory requirements, and internal processes
- Monitor fee drawdowns and approve payment requests and journals
- Liaise with directors, creditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Prepare and interpret cash flow forecasts, statements of affairs, and estimated outcome statements
- Contribute to business development, internal training, process improvement, and technical updates
- CPI or equivalent professional insolvency qualification required
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency
- Proven track record managing insolvency cases from cradle to grave
- Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and insolvency case management systems (e.g., IPS)
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure
- ACA/ACCA or JIEB qualifications advantageous
