Financial Assurance

For those charged with governance, the focus on setting clear, high quality reporting standards has never been greater. The Financial Assurance team specialise in assuring the financial statement, transactions and accounting. By collaborating with other teams and our global network of specialist, they deliver assurance that protects the public interest and fosters even greater levels of trust, underpinned by our priority focus on quality.

You will be principally focused on improving the reliability and efficiency of finance processes and controls for external financial reporting with an impressive portfolio of clients.

Scope of Services
  • Providing specialist financial instrument input into external audit services;
  • Accounting advice on challenging and complex treasury transactions;
  • Assisting in developing practical solutions for the application of hedge accounting;
  • Derivative valuations;
  • Supporting the treasurer and CFO by providing independent advice and assurance over all aspects of their control environment throughout the treasury lifecycle.
Manager Position – Corporate Treasury Services

We have an exciting opportunity for a high‑performing and self‑starting individual to join our growing team of Corporate Treasury practitioners in London and across our North, Midlands and South regional practices. As a Manager within Deloitte's Corporate Treasury Services Team you will have the opportunity to support us in building a business focused on serving the world's leading corporate treasuries with their most complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking ownership of the delivery of high quality audit engagements from planning through to reporting, including specialist support to external audit teams on derivative valuations, hedge accounting, IFRS 9/FRS 102 accounting treatment, application of impairment model etc, and managing the external audit of the Treasury function from end to end;
  • Depending on your experience, supporting delivery of high quality non‑audit engagements for our non‑audit clients only, providing services relating to treasury accounting and governance, operations and controls (including internal audit);
  • Dealing with technical and complex accounting and auditing queries that may shape future precedent and industry practice;
  • Establishing and maintaining key relationships across our corporate client base, with a focus on exceptional client service;
  • Driving continuous improvement through innovation and transformation, embracing change and challenging the way we do things to develop our treasury audit methodology;
  • Contributing to Corporate Treasury team's strategy and identifying new opportunities for Deloitte to help its clients;
  • Being a leader in the corporate treasury team, including project management
