Chief Financial Officer

Reed Finance are working with a premium, innovation led company with interests across several specialist engineering and manufacturing sectors. We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join its senior leadership team based in North Yorkshire with regular travel to sites in the Midlands and occasionally overseas. With a rapidly growing international footprint and an exciting phase of scale and diversification ahead, this is a pivotal, hands on, strategic role for a finance leader who thrives on shaping growth rather than simply reporting on it.

The Opportunity As the business enters its next phase of expansion, the CFO will play a fundamental role in strengthening financial governance, driving performance, and influencing long term strategic direction. You will work closely with the Board and executive team to support global growth, enhance operational discipline and ensure the financial resilience needed for continued innovation and diversification.

Key Responsibilities Lead financial strategy, planning and governance across a multi-division group. Provide strategic insight and challenge at Board level. Develop robust controls, processes and reporting frameworks suitable for rapid growth. Support funding rounds, investment activity, and potential M&A. Partner with the senior leadership team to drive commercial decision-making and long-term value creation. Ensure disciplined risk management and strong financial control across all business units.

Oversee international financial operations, tax strategy, and treasury. About You A proven track record as a CFO or senior Finance Director within medium sized, high growth organisations. Strong commercial instinct supported by a solid foundation in financial accounting. Involvement in fundraising, investment activity, or M&A. The confidence to influence and challenge at Board level. A rigorous, integrity led approach to governance, controls and risk.

Experience operating internationally, including cross border operations and trade. Exposure to R&D focused environments, innovation led businesses, or those benefit ting from R&D tax incentives.
