Job Title

VP, Senior Trust Manager, Private Banking, Consumer Banking Group

• Administer and manage a portfolio of approximately 60 bespoke private trust structures.
• Partner with Private Trust Operations for the performance and delivery of trust administration services to clients.
• Collaborate with relationship managers in Private Banking and Treasures Private Clients to manage client relationships holistically.
• Review and ensure new trust application documents meet all onboarding requirements before accepting and establishing new private trust structures and private investment companies.
• Review trust deeds, legal, and tax opinions to ensure proper administration of complex/customised private trust structures in compliance with requirements.
• Ensure asset injections have verified sources and satisfy AML/CFT due diligence requirements.
• Handle requests for distribution to beneficiaries, ensuring fiduciary duties and AML/CFT due diligence requirements are met.
• Process client requests for variations to letters of wishes and prepare revised documents.
• Accommodate client requests for changes of beneficiaries and prepare supplemental deeds.
• Conduct periodic reviews of trust records and structures to ensure accuracy and compliance with AML/CFT ongoing monitoring due diligence requirements.
• Review annual financial statements for private trusts and private investment companies to ensure accuracy.
• Meet clients to conduct trust reviews and address changes in clients' needs.
• Handle ad-hoc transaction requests from clients regarding their private trust structures and assets, assess solutions, liaise with professionals, review documents, and implement necessary actions.
• Ensure proper discharge of trustee's fiduciary duty in managing and administering private trust structures.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and AML/CFT due diligence requirements for private trust structures.
• Highlight issues, deficiencies, suspicious AML, or other non-compliance issues to relevant parties and management.
• Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments impacting private trust structures and ensure compliance with all controls and processes.
• Coach and guide junior trust managers and Private Trust Operations officers in fulfilling trustee's fiduciary duties.

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in Accountancy or Law.
• At least 8-10 years of working experience in private trust administration, with a focus on complex/customised private trust structures such as family offices, pre-IPO, and private trust company structures.
• Experience managing non-bankable trust assets, including operating companies and private equity funds.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to trustee responsibilities.
• STEP certification in International Trust Management.
• Ability to balance client-centric approach with business needs and controls.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships with clients and relationship managers.
• Ability to review contractual documents and financial statements/accounts and assess their impact on private trust structures.
