Interim Finance Director; VC backed SaaS

Camino Search are working with a rapidly growing VC‑backed software firm that has recently secured investment and is now looking to bring in an Interim Finance Director to support the next stage of their journey. The business is moving from founder‑led finance to a more structured and professionalised environment, and they need someone who can stabilise, improve, and upgrade the function quickly.

The Interim FD will take ownership of the finance function, support the leadership team, and put in place the processes and reporting needed for a scaling, investor‑backed organisation. This is a hands‑on role and would suit someone used to stepping into fast‑paced, evolving environments.

• Review and upgrade finance processes, controls, and reporting
• Strengthen month‑end, cashflow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Improve SaaS/recurring revenue reporting and key metrics
• Prepare board packs and manage investor reporting requirements
• Support the CEO and senior team with commercial insight
• Lead and develop the finance team; identify gaps and future hiring needs
• Upgrade systems and streamline manual processes

• Experienced Interim FD or senior finance leader
• Reporting into PE or VC investors as stakeholders
• Strong background in software/SaaS or other high‑growth tech
• Proven track record in post‑investment professionalisation
• Comfortable rolling up sleeves and building structure quickly
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence founders and investors
