Finance Assistant

OVERVIEW

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised Finance Assistant with schools experience to work alongside the Director of Finance at an outstanding educational organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the routine activities of a busy finance department, including responding to parent and staff enquiries. 

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work as part of a team.

As a first point of contact of the Finance department, the successful hire will have the ability to positively engage with parents, staff, and suppliers.

The Finance Assistant will have previous experience of working in a busy school and the ability to work on their own initiative with excellent IT skills.

WHAT IS ON OFFER

This post is employed (contract) and offers a competitive pro rata salary with a generous Employer Defined Contribution pension scheme.  

This is a full time role.  

This is a school-based role working on-site.

Lunch is provided, and there is an hour for lunch (unpaid).

Attendance at termly INSET is also required, as is attendance at the compulsory services including Advent and Palm Sunday (falling on Sunday’s).

Purchase Ledger & Payments

Fee Billing & Credit Control

Banking & Reconciliations

Financial Administration

Compliance & Systems

Other ad-hoc Responsibilities
