Capital Markets Associate

This is an exciting new Capital Markets Associate job opportunity at a global investment firm. This role is based in the London office.

The new Capital Markets Associate will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to credit analysis, financial statement/model review, scenario modelling, deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and certain sourcing activities. They will also:

• Underwrite investment opportunities utilising collateral-specific credit analyses
• Review diligence materials with a focus on evaluating and manipulating loan tapes to perform credit analysis
• Exhibit subject matter expertise across financial statement analysis and fixed-income transaction mechanics
• Work fluently with large and diverse datasets
• Prepare investment memos with strong attention to detail
• Participate in and support various aspects of the deal execution process
• Monitor portfolio companies to ensure accurate reporting and generate performance reviews
• Aid in deal sourcing by identifying emerging companies and organising initial meetings
• Develop various pieces of marketing content to build the firm's brand

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
• ~2+ years of experience across private credit investing, investment banking, debt capital markets / leveraged finance, structured / asset-based finance, restructuring
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting and accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlines
• Must be able to work independently while also contributing in a team-oriented environment
