About the Company
This is a well-established, specialist advisory firm operating at the premium end of the mid-market. The business works exclusively with acquirers in the IT, technology and telecoms space, delivering buy-side Financial Due Diligence that supports decision-making, not box-ticking. With a strong reputation, repeat clients and a collaborative culture, the firm is entering a sustained period of growth and investment in its FDD capability.
Why Join Them
This Financial Due Diligence role offers genuine ownership and influence. You will lead engagements end to end, work directly with sophisticated acquirers, and shape how buy-side FDD is delivered going forward. The environment is calm, professional and high trust, with an emphasis on quality, judgement and clear thinking rather than volume or bureaucracy. If you enjoy being close to deals and respected for your technical and commercial input, this is a standout opportunity.
About the Role
As a Financial Due Diligence specalist, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of buy-side FDD engagements, from initial scoping through to final reporting. This is a hands-on, client-facing position requiring confidence, independence and strong commercial judgement.
Key elements of the Buy-Side Financial Due Diligence role include:
* Leading buy-side FDD projects end to end, owning scope, planning, timelines and delivery quality
* Producing clear, decision-useful analysis focused on value, risk and deal implications
* Assessing earnings sustainability, working capital, cash conversion, debt-like items and run-rate adjustments
* Translating complex financial analysis into commercially relevant insight for acquirers
* Managing day-to-day client relationships and running workstream calls with confidence
* Maintaining high standards of data integrity, documentation and analytical defensibility
* Coaching and overseeing junior team members to ensure quality, clarity and pace
* Improving templates, workplans and tooling to enhance consistency and efficiency
* Supporting buy-side opportunity scoping and helping protect margin through effective delivery
* Contributing to the firm’s reputation as a trusted advisor to repeat acquirers
This Senior Manager – Buy-Side Financial Due Diligence position suits someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility and being judged on the quality of their thinking rather than process.
Experience Required
* 5 or more years of buy-side Financial Due Diligence delivery experience
* Strong technical grounding with the ability to apply judgement, not just methodology
* Confident client-facing presence and experience managing live transactions
* London based or easily commutable
