Position: Real Estate Finance Lawyer | 1-3PQE | US law firm
Location: Greater London

A leading US law firm is seeking a talented Real Estate Finance Associate to join its highly respected Banking & Finance team in London. The firm is recognised for advising major global corporations, financial institutions, funds and sponsors on complex, high‑value transactions across multiple jurisdictions. The environment is collaborative, commercially minded, and fast‑paced, offering excellent training, exposure to market‑leading deals, and genuine long‑term career progression.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work as part of a close‑knit and high‑performing team, advising on large real estate finance and leveraged finance transactions. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting complex real estate finance transactions.
  • Drafting loan agreements, security documents, and ancillary documents.
  • Liaising directly with clients, counter parties, and other advisers.
  • Preparing legal memos, reports, and structured advice.
  • Negotiating key elements of security and finance documentation.
  • Working on structured real estate finance deals for both lenders and sponsors.

While prior Real Estate Finance experience is preferred, the firm is open to Banking & Finance lawyers looking to transition into this area.

About You:

You will be a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 1–3 PQE (guideline only), with:

  • Experience acting for banks, financial institutions, investors or corporates on finance or investment transactions.
  • Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to interact with clients.
  • A team‑focused approach, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • A strong academic background (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).
