Location: Greater London
Overview
For an international group operating in the financial services sector, we are looking for a Senior Accounting professional for a full-time permanent position (100%).
Key responsibilitiesWithin a team of four, you will play a key role in ensuring robust accounting operations and high-quality reporting:
- Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accurate financial records
- Oversee AP/AR processes and ensure correct postings and follow-up within the team
- Perform monthly closings and produce IFRS reporting for Group consolidated accounts
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasting
- Monitor and analyse monthly and quarterly KPIs
- Prepare tax filings (e.g. VAT returns)
- Prepare quarterly and annual statistics for the Swiss National Bank (SNB)
- Support operational risk monitoring activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure data consistency
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure smooth audit processes
- Support continuous improvement by administering and optimising accounting tools (Quantum / Abacus)
- You hold a Swiss Federal Diploma as a Finance and Accounting Specialist (or an equivalent qualification)
- You have 10+ years of experience within a bank, financial services company, or fiduciary/accounting firm
- You have strong expertise in financial & management accounting, with an excellent knowledge of IFRS standards
- You are comfortable with accounting IT tools administration (experience with Quantum and/or Abacus is a strong asset)
- You have a good understanding of derivative products related to FX, interest rates and metals (asset)
- You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
- You are recognised for your strong sense of priorities, rigour, and ability to meet strict deadlines, while remaining proactive and solution-oriented
- Ideally based in canton of Vaud or willing to relocate / commute (One day of remote)
