Overview
This role will provide Corporate Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of large corporate multinational clients. The primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of clients and support Director/Principals/Partners in client work and in group management. The role may include ad hoc special assignments. A key part of the role is to actively seek new business opportunities arising on existing and new clients and keep the Partner informed.
Responsibilities- Provide Corporate Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of large corporate clients using technology tools.
- Manage a substantial portfolio of clients including onboarding, engagement management, billings, and identifying opportunities to improve recoveries and cash collection.
- Pursue self-development and continuing professional education with a view to progressing within the practice.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and within the Firm, adapting the approach for the relevant audience.
- Understand potential risks to the Firm in relation to quality control procedures and escalate to the appropriate person.
- Get involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.
- Guide and supervise less experienced colleagues.
- Support, train, mentor and advise others in the area.
- Challenge current practice—drive improvements and champion change.
- Take personal responsibility for own decisions and actions and those of others.
- Lead complex advisory projects.
- Demonstrate project and staff management experience.
- Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably while actively seeking opportunities to develop new clients and to sell new services to existing clients.
- Experience of dealing with client senior management.
- Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
- Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
