The CompanySheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a leading professional services firm to recruit an Employment Tax Senior / Assistant Manager for its London office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing and highly regarded employment tax team, offering strong career progression and exposure to complex, high-quality work.
The RoleThis role will see you play a key part in delivering employment tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. You will work across a broad range of UK employment tax matters, with the opportunity to expand your experience into international employment tax and global mobility projects as the team continues to grow.
Your responsibilities as the Employment Tax Senior / Assistant Manager will include, but are not limited to:- Managing and delivering UK employment tax compliance services, including PAYE reviews, benefits reporting, and settlement agreements.
- Advising clients on employment tax matters such as employment status, off-payroll working, termination payments, and benefits structuring.
- Supporting senior team members with complex advisory work, identifying risks and practical solutions for clients.
- Assisting with HMRC interactions and correspondence.
- Keeping up to date with employment tax legislation and sharing technical insights with clients and colleagues.
- Supporting client meetings, presentations, and internal training sessions.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Coaching and supporting junior team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Previous experience working in employment tax.
- ATT qualification or equivalent.
- Experience dealing with HMRC.
- The confidence to take ownership of work and see tasks through to completion.
