Trust Assistant Manager

Seeking a Trust Assistant Manager to join a specialist Trust Team, responsible for the accounting, administration and tax affairs of UK‑resident trusts. This role offers varied, high‑quality work with the opportunity to assist on advisory projects and, if desired, gain exposure to non‑UK trusts, estates and personal tax.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a mixed portfolio of UK‑resident trust clients
- Preparation of trust accounts and self‑assessment tax returns
- Assisting senior team members with advisory work including IHT planning, succession planning, wealth preservation and trust restructuring
- Preparing for and attending client meetings
- Liaising with clients, professional advisers and HMRC
- Managing deadlines and maintaining a high standard of client care
- Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
Experience with CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax is advantageous; training will be provided.
About You- ACA, CTA or STEP qualified
- 3‑5 years' experience in a private client role within an accountancy or legal practice
- Strong trust accounting and tax reporting experience
- Organised, detail‑focused and able to manage a client portfolio
- Proactive, collaborative and keen to develop
- Experience with family offices, landed estates or HNW clients
